Barcelona 0-3 Bayern Munich (Agg 0-7): Rampant Germans complete humiliation

Bayern Munich ensured it will be an all-German Champions League final after they defeated Barcelona 3-0 and completed a 7-0 aggregate victory on Wednesday night.
Arjen Robben fired a perfect left-footed effort past Victor Valdes to make it 1-0, before an own goal from Gerard Pique and Thomas Muller's strike added insult to injury for the hosts.

Lionel Messi was named on the bench prior to kick-off, but despite that blow Barcelona began on the front foot and enjoyed a positive opening 20 minutes, even if it was bereft of the clear opportunities their early endeavours perhaps deserved.

The Catalans began to suffer against a Bayern defence that was organised and committed around the box, and were forced to try their luck from deep. This almost paid off midway through the first half; Pedro let loose with a fierce effort 35 metres out, but Manuel Neuer was equal to it, in what was the best opening of the first 45 minutes.

Dani Alves then whipped a cross into the box that found Cesc Fabregas. The ex-Arsenal man did well to chest down to Xavi, who found himself free, but the midfielder uncharacteristically lost his cool and fired his volley well over the crossbar.

Despite these moments of pressure, die Roten coped well with the hosts' advances and always looked dangerous breaking from their own half. Robben and Franck Ribery in particular stood out with all-action performances, stretching the Barca backline, albeit without creating too many clear openings before heading in for the interval.

Just three minutes after half-time, the game was over as a contest. David Alaba showed terrific vision deep on the left flank to find Robben on the opposite side of the pitch and though he still had work to do, the Dutchman cut inside of Adriano and fired left-footed past Victor Valdes.

The Blaugrana did not give up after that fatal blow and kept forwards, but there was no joy for the likes of David Villa as they were suffocated in the final third. Indeed, Bayern were the team that continued to enjoy the best opportunities; Robben side footed wide of the post with the goal in full view, after a storming run down the left from Ribery had spilt open the Liga leaders.

Messi remained on the sidelines throughout the 90 minutes, unused as Tito Vilanova recognised that the game was beyond the reach of his charges. Further confirmation was provided by the hapless Gerard Pique, who sliced a cross into his own net with 18 minutes to go. A convincing defeat soon turned into a humiliation when Thomas Muller rose to head in the third, as Bayern marched into their third Champions League final in four years.

The Bavarians' victory tees up a first-ever all-German final in Europe's premier club competition, as they prepare to face Borussia Dortmund in the showpiece at Wembley on May 25.

Bayern Munich 4-0 Barcelona: Messi and Co overrun as Germans all but seal final berth

Bayern Munich took a massive step towards the Champions League final with an incredible 4-0 thrashing of Barcelona in the first leg of their last-four clash at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday.

On the same day that they stunned the football world by capturing Mario Gotze from Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund, the Bavarian giants again reminded everyone that they are a force to be reckoned with by playing the toothless Blaugrana off the pitch.

Thomas Muller opened the scoring with a close-range header, and put the second on a plate for Mario Gomez minutes into the second half.

Muller would controversially play a role in Arjen Robben's goal after appearing to foul Jordi Alba off the ball, before tapping in the fourth himself with eight minutes remaining to round off the biggest-ever margin of victory in a Champions League semi-final.
Gomez replaced the suspended Mario Mandzukic up front for the hosts, while for the visitors, Marc Bartra partnered Gerard Pique in defence with Carles Puyol and Javier Mascherano injured.
Bayern could have been ahead as early as the fourth minute. Robben exchanged passes with Gomez, and it took the outstretched legs of Victor Valdes to deny the Dutch winger from point-blank range.
Barca were winning the possession battle, but it was the Bavarian side who controlled the opening exchanges. Javi Martinez’s tumble in the box was correctly ignored by the referee, who was forced into a bigger no-call when Philipp Lahm’s shot struck Pique’s elbow.
The Barca defender headed wide at the other end from a corner, but it was an isolated scare from the blunted Catalans, and with 25 minutes on the clock, Bayern made their superiority count.
A corner was worked to Robben, whose cross was flicked on by Dante, and Muller was first to the ball, sneaking a header past Valdes at the near post.
But Dante had to be alert to prevent a quick response from Barca, poking away Dani Alves’ cross at full stretch from the unmarked Lionel Messi, in a dangerous position where an own-goal could have easily occurred.
Gomez then picked up the first yellow card of the game for barging into Messi, and he was quickly followed into the book by Bartra and Martinez for challenges on Muller and Andres Iniesta either side of the interval.
But any hopes that Barca had for the half-time break to revitalize them were dashed only four minutes after the restart, when Bayern exposed their soft centre once again to go two goals ahead.
Just like the first goal, Robben’s delivery was met by a Bayern head, with Muller guiding the ball towards the goal line, where Gomez was waiting to gleefully bundle the ball home, albeit from an unnoticed offside position.
The Bundesliga side were simply dominating, and the match threatened to get ugly very fast for Barca had Muller and Franck Ribery been more accurate when presented with the chance to pick their spot from great shooting positions.
But the third goal was always on the cards, and it duly arrived with 17 minutes remaining, albeit in contentious circumstances. Muller’s off-the-ball block on Alba went unheeded, and with the full-back out of the way, Robben curled sublimely into the far corner.
And in the 82nd minute, it was 4-0. David Alaba’s overlapping run down the left ended with a low cross into the six-yard area, where Muller was waiting to turn into the back of the net to leave the second leg at Camp Nou as little more than a formality, and finish off an epic 24 hours for Bayern.

Borussia Monchengladbach 3-4 Bayern Munich: Champions fight back to end season with victory

Bayern Munich wrapped up a record-breaking Bundesliga campaign in sensational style on Saturday afternoon, die Roten twice coming from behind to defeat Borussia Monchengladbach 4-3 in an typically thrilling end-of-season encounter.
The Bavarians were two down inside five minutes, with Martin Stranzl and Mike Hanke on target for the hosts, and although the champions immediately pulled a goal back through Javi Martinez, Havard Nordtveit restored die Fohlen's two-goal advantage just as quickly.

However, Franck Ribery then dragged his side back into the game with a low strike before levelling matters in the second half with a stunning volley. The Frenchman was involved again as Arjen Robben volleyed home to decide a remarkable game in the visitors' favour.

Bayern had gone into the game having conceded just 15 goals in their previous 33 outings in this season's Bundesliga. They shipped three inside the opening 11 minutes at the Borussia Park.

Bayern's much-vaunted backline was breached for the first time just three minutes in, with Stranzl enjoying the freedom of the penalty area as he headed home Juan Arango's in-swinging free kick from the right-hand side.

The hosts surprisingly doubled their advantage just two minutes later when Hanke finished with aplomb after being slipped in on goal by strike partner Branimir Hrgota.

Bayern posted an almost instanteous reply, with Martinez coolly rolling the ball past Marc-Andre ter Stegen, after taking a terrific first-time lay-off from Ribery in his stride, but Gladbach restored their two-goal lead soon after through Nordtveit.

Arango was involved again, this time releasing Patrick Herrmann with a sublime outside-of-the-foot pass. The German fed the ball inside to Nordtveit and he coolly stroked it past a shell-shocked Manuel Neuer.

Bayern were in complete dissarray at the back, but Ribery was doing his utmost at the other end to keep them in the game, and he made it a one-goal game on 18 minutes by beating Ter Stegen at his near post with a low strike from just inside the area.

The second goal belatedly settled Bayern, who dominated the remainder of the half and could well have gone in level at the interval, with Bastian Schweinsteiger, Ribery and Arjen Robben all going close with well-struck efforts.

Monchengladbach remained an attacking threat, though, and the lively Hrgota, fresh from his hat-trick at Mainz last weekend, fired just wide from the edge of the area during what was a bright spell for the home side just after the break.

However, that did not stop Bayern from equalising on 54 minutes. Indeed, nothing could have stopped Bayern from equalising, with Ribery beating Ter Stegen all ends up with a blistering volley from a Philipp Lahm cross.

Arango nearly put Gladbach back in front with a swerving set piece that very nearly deceived Neuer, but it was, almost inevitably, Bayern who went 4-3 ahead instead, with Robben calmly sidefooting home a volley, after being picked out at the back post by the irrepressible Ribery.

Monchengladbach were stunned and, in truth, never looked remotely like turning the game around, with Bayern ultimately cruising to a deserved victory in Jupp Heynckes' final Bundesliga game at the helm.

PENGERTIAN EMAIL
SEJARAH EMAIL

Cara kerja protokol FTP
